Overall results

In the tables below you can see:

  • the total amount of seats for each party, which adds the number of constituencies they won in this parallel election and the number of seats they won from each region;
  • the number of seats and votes each party won in this parallel election in the constituency vote;
  • The number of seats and votes each party won in this parallel election in the regional vote.

In the regional vote, having the most votes doesn’t mean a party will win the most seats. Generally, parties who have won lots of constituency seats don’t win many extra seats from the regional vote, due to the formula that is used to calculate the regional seats. This helps to make sure that parties who have lots of support but don’t win many constituencies can still win seats.

Plaid Cymru – 19 seats
Labour – 17 seats
Conservatives – 6 seats
Green Party – 6 seats
Communist Party – 4 seats
Liberal Democrats – 3 seats
No More Lockdowns – 1 seat
